Q: It looks like the KwikPeek is sold out. When will more be available?
A: The KwikPeek is now available.

Q: Does the KwikPeek come with a warranty?
A: Yes. The product has a 1 year limited warranty.

Q: Can I get a refund on products that I return?
A: Yes. If you return products within 30 days, we will refund your money no questions asked. After 30 days, we will fix or replace defective products for up to 1 year.

Q: I'm a little nervous about making payments online. Is the wirelessimaging.com site secure for taking payments?
A: Yes. In fact we use PayPal to handle our transactions and they are one of the most trusted payment solution providers in the industry. For more information visit www.paypal.com

Q: What does "Open Distance" mean?
A: Open distance or Line of Sight is a measure of the maximum operating distance between the transmitter and receiver under ideal conditions - Mountain top to Mountain top, no obstructions. This measure is unrealistic for most applications.

Q: What does "Practical Distance" mean?
A: Practical Distance is the average operating distance between the transmitter and receiver that one can expect under normal usage - minimal obstructions.

Q: What is the operating temperature of the KwikPeek?
A: -4 to 122 degrees F.

Q: On your website you mention that the KwikPeek will operate from 10 seconds to 5 minutes before shutting down. Why only 5 minutes?
A: The primary purpose of the device is to view remote objects for short periods of time. We will include a power adapter which can be plugged into a wall outlet and will allow the camera to stay on continuously.

Q7: Can the KwikPeek be used for surveillance?
A: The product can be used for any legal activity where a wired connection is undesirable. Having said that, there are strict laws governing that type of application. We encourage you to check with your local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies before engaging in such activity.

Q: Can you record the images from the KwikPeek on a standard VCR?
A: Yes, it works on most VCRs. Simply plug the KwikPeek receiver into the VCR's audio/video inputs. Connect the VCR's audio/video outputs to the TV's audio/video inputs. Change the stations on the VCR and TV to auxiliary. Start recording.

Q: What makes the KwikPeek system different from others on the market?
A: Several things, but the heart of the product is the Remote Power Efficient Sensing Circuit that allows the camera to operate in standby mode for up to several months.

Q: What focusing system does the KwikPeek use?
A: Manual adjustment of the camera lens.

Q: Can more than one KwikPeek operate off of one receiver?
A: Yes, up to 4 cameras can operate on one receiver/system.

Q: Can I have more than 4 cameras on one system?
A: No. If you have more then 4 cameras within 300' they will interfere with each other.

Q: Is the KwikPeek still or video?
A: Color Video

Q: What TV channel will the image be displayed on?
A: Accessory. Same as VCR, DVD etc.

Q: Is the KwikPeek weather proof?
A: No, but the dome housing makes it weather resistant. We recommend that you keep the unit sheltered.

Q: Is the KwikPeek night vision capable?
A: No it is not.

Q: Where did the idea for MailboxCam come from?
A: I came up with the idea for the MailboxCam after watching my wife's 88 year old grandfather struggle to check his mailbox several times each day by walking up and down the stairs of his second floor apartment building. I wanted to find a way for him to view the contents of his mailbox without having to leave the apartment. There were wireless battery powered cameras on the market, but none of them would operate for more than a few hours without a battery recharge or replacement. After doing some research I purchased a few inexpensive RF components from a local WalMart to prove the concept and to create a prototype. With a few dozen revisions and modifications I finally found a workable solution and the MailboxCam was born.

Q: Can I use the KwikPeek and the new portable handheld receiver to monitor my horse trailer while traveling?
A: It all depends on what the signal will need to pass through. Every situation is different and a solid metal enclosure is tough to penetrate. If there are openings or if the trailer is made of wood it should work fine. (That is a very creative application by the way)

Q: Can I view images from the KwikPeek on my PC or over the internet?
A: No, the KwikPeek is not a network or webcam. See the following question for more information.

Q: Do you sell cameras that can be viewed over the internet?
A: Yes. We have recently partnered with Wynit distribution to provide the latest wireless ip network cameras. The ip network cameras have built in webservers and only require a high speed internet connection and simple wireless router.
